Obama: More Wrong by the Day

11/06/09 | by Jim [mail] | Categories: Rants and Raves

Unemployment numbers for October were released today, and for those who those who missed it:

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- The nation's unemployment rate rose above 10% for the first time since 1983 in October, a much worse jump than expected as employers continued to trim jobs from payrolls.

Now in case it is not mentioned, which it most likely will not be, I would like to remind you that Obama claimed that his HUGE stimulus package would keep the unemployment rate below 8%. As it exceeded that 8% prediction, many in his camp noted that without the stimulus we probably would be looking at double digit unemployment. Well guess what: We are looking at double digit unemployment, and we've spent a ridiculous sum of money on...well actually, I don't know what we spent it on. Do you?

Don't worry your pretty little heads though folks, the Democrats are already cooking up schemes for a second stimulus package. See, the problem wasn't that it made no economic sense, the problem was the biggest stimulus package in our nations history wasn't big enough. You know, sometimes I wonder how these people sleep at night.

Again, I like my people farm idea. I know. I stole it from the fathers of these people who continue to embrace the radical lunacy of totalitarianism. Thankfully, these nuts have cooled down now since Obama. But the disease is still there.

The mind trick here is the economy did get wrecked under Bush. I can not fail to admit that. Was it because opec stopped pumping oil and raised oil prices astronomically right before the election?

Or was it simply because Bush was blinded to these very serious financial problems embracing an 'us versus them' attitude just like the left does, which silences all criticism. Internally.

Not that the left helped or has helped by largely raging against bush in slander. What is true criticism? What is false? Who would know. Both work together to make the reality all the more cloudy.

Slander at the base of it all. Us vs them ism. A basic hatred of one's enemies. And a refusal to consider two completely opposing ideas, especially (or maybe only) if one of those ideas has been trademarked by The Opposition. Them. The Bad Guys. Whoever they are. Me? You?

Back to the point. So you have cut taxes to save the economy OR - OR - what? Spend money and therefore effectively, ultimately, raise taxes. Great thinking guys. One or the other.

So Obama ended up ludicrously spending tons and tons of money. If this were a private citizen... it would have been called insanity.

Because above all, he did not even spend it on anything which would create jobs. At least Roosevelt had the sense to do that.

But of course the right solution is to spend even more money. And go even more green. Never, ever cut government. Don't even regulate government. Everybody wants bigger government. And more taxes. After all, less taxes, the people would have more money to spend. And you know what kind of foolishness they would spend it on.
