Tea Parties

04/16/09 | by Jim [mail] | Categories: Rants and Raves

It's very inspiring to see what has gone on the past few days in our country. I did not attend one of the "Tea Parties" in my area because my life is somewhat chaotic currently. I am looking into closing on a home, and have my sister's wedding to attend this weekend about five hours away. I wish I was there though, and I don't plan on missing the next one.

For any random individual who happens to come across this page, and I know there are not many of you daily, check out TaxdayTeaParty.com. I don't know if they will be able to hold this momentum, and I have seen many of these types of public uprisings falter in their early stages. I know many of us, and likely all who attended these protests, are looking for an outlet to express the discontent that resides within us. Many were never involved in anything like this before, and most probably never thought they would be. I hope that we can find the strength and courage within ourselves to turn the spark of yesterday into the stable flame of tomorrow.

No matter what the case may be, we can all be proud of what took place this past Wednesday. And speaking for myself, as well as many folks I know, I wanted those who attended nation wide to know their voice is our voice, and we are grateful for their efforts.

Oh, and eff CNN.
