Well WHOOPEE!
Memorial Day travel drops...slightly.
Well let's just have a party shall we?
"The number of Americans traveling 50 or more miles from home this holiday weekend will decrease by 0.9% to 37.87 million, the motorist group said in a statement. That will mark the first decrease in Memorial Day driving since 2002, in the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks."
First off, I'd really like to see how these "studies" are done. Second, that's all we got eh? 0.9%? Must be pretty serious out there, what with almost 1% of people not driving 50 miles or more.
The funny thing about that is it's Memorial Day. I mean come on. Have a little barbecue on your street or something, hang out with some neighbors. Probably be a nice thing to start having a little more community interaction anyway. For those of you out there with shitty neighbors...sorry. I suppose you could just grill some good food on your street and not invite them, that may bring some joy to your life.
